NAISH

In the past decade, I’ve gained extensive knowledge of the kiteboarding industry from a team rider perspective, including competing on the kitesurf world tour, achieving podium success, working on various projects, contributing to R&D and taking part in photoshoots— the list goes on.

As of the beginning of 2024, I have made the decision to start a exciting new chapter in my career as I join the international rider team and take on a role in the marketing department. I am really excited about this opportunity as it allows me to combine my two greatest passions: being in the water and unleashing my creativity.

APELVIKEN

A few years back, I approached my board sponsor Appletree Surfboards with my frustrations about finding the right wave board for my physique and riding style. We collaborated to tweak their lineup, resulting in prototypes that checked all the boxes for me.

Named after my home spot in Sweden, Apelviken, which means "Apple Bay" in Swedish, perfectly aligned with Appletree's apple-themed lineup.

Apelviken's rocker acceleration starts toward the tail, making it forgiving, loose, and responsive in turns. The flatter midsection aids in upwind performance, combined with thinner rails and a narrow tail for control.

Benefiting lighter riders with smaller stances, the shifted rocker lets you ride the board effectively in one position, offering fine performance whether riding waves or going upwind.

Balancing the loose feel, the narrow tail maintains control while delivering a snappy sensation. Apelviken isn't limited to small waves; it's an all-board and suitable for everything between small to large surf.

Additionally, the board features grab rails in the nose for a better grip when grabbing the board, especially useful for those with smaller hands.

SENSATION

Sensation. This short film outlines the conflict of seeking clarity through thinking yet actually finding it whilst feeling.

118FT OF FREEDOM

In the world of kitesurfing the male gender is dominating the beaches and girls are seen as secondary. Jalou Langeree wanted to prove this wrong and decided to do girls only trip. Joined by Olivia Jenkins and Catharina Edin, they went on a trip to find one of the most mesmerising left handers to kite in the world - Flame Balls in the South Coast of Madagascar. To reach that place, they embarked on a 118ft ship called ‘Luna Moon’ which allowed them to live and keep the proximity to this unique wave spot. To be able to kite in waves the right combination of swell and wind direction must appear, thus sometimes that means you have to wait. But if you wait long enough there is a high chance of scoring the conditions of the lifetime.
